Stowmarket ASD Saturday Club

Attendees can choose what activities they take part in, with a wide range of activities available including art, craft, games, sports, sensory play, gaming consoles, role play, music, gardening, construction and more. Sessions are intended to bring young people together to reduce isolation and create opportunities to communicate with others and build on friendships.

Providing social activities for children and teenagers with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The clubs provide invaluable opportunities to socialise with others in a non-competitive environment where ASD is completely understood and taken into account.

The aims are:

• To provide social activities for children and young people aged 5 to 18
• To encourage the young people to develop friendships and social networks and increase their independence, self-confidence, self-esteem and social skills
• To encourage inclusion and seek opportunities for the young people to take an active part in the community
• To provide support and a break for parents and siblings
