An introduction to the world of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

What is SEND?

A child or young person has SEND if they have:

• a learning difficulty or disability which requires special educational provision,
• significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of their peers, or
• a disability which prevents or hinders them from making use of the same sort of facilities as their peers.
