East Anglian Sailing Trust

EAST offer opportunities for young people 10+ and their carer/family member to experience sailing activities from the Suffolk Yacht Harbour base on the River Orwell.

The sessions are held on alternate Saturdays and run for two hours. Morning sessions develop basic sailing skills in conjunction with RYA Sail ability & On Board programmes, whilst the afternoon sessions are family leisure sailing.

This registered regional charity (No 1159243) provides regular sailing opportunities for disabled young people and adults on the beautiful River Orwell. Carers and relatives are encouraged to participate as well.

The trust has a fleet of safe and stable keelboats which can be accessed via wheelchair accessible pontoons. The trust also runs seagoing cruises for blind and visually impaired adults several times a year.

All Sailors are required to become members of the Charity and pay an annual subscription fee. Currently £5.00 for juniors 10-17 years & £10.00 for Adults 18 years.
