You can help us make the Suffolk Local Offer more useful and accessible by taking part in our feedback survey.
We are now inviting new applications for the funding of Short Break activities for the 2026/27 financial year.
For organisations delivering multiple services, one full application must be submitted. Additional projects delivered by the same organisation, can be applied for using our additional projects application form.
The grants application forms and guidance have been reviewed and amended, so please ensure you read the guidance notes carefully before completing the application form.
To allow sufficient time to fully consider all applications we have set a submission deadline of midnight on Sunday 26 October 2025. This will enable the panel to consider the merits of each application in accordance with the directorates commissioning intentions, and the needs and wishes of the families this funding will support.
Applications received after midnight on 26 October 2025, or where the application is found to be incomplete or lacking supporting evidence, will not be considered.
Your application will be reviewed by a multidisciplinary panel, consisting of key stakeholders including parents/carers and Suffolk County Council representatives.
Please see the guidance notes for more information. Subsequent funding decisions will take into account factors such as:
- Historical levels of customer engagement and uptake
- Unit pricing and overall value for money
- Geographical reach and accessibility of provision
- Responsiveness to the identified needs and preferences of children, young people, and their families
- Alignment with the strategic priorities outlined in the Activities Unlimited “I am Strategy” document
We are committed to ensuring equitable access to Short Break provision across the county and will prioritise proposals that demonstrate best value and responsiveness to the diverse needs of our SEND community.
