The services will begin delivering support to children and young people who are accepted onto the NHS autism and/or ADHD assessment pathway in Suffolk and North East Essex.
Following the procurement process, the awarded services are:
- Suffolk: KIDS, Home-Start, The Maze Group, Suffolk Family Carers and Family Action
These services will offer support to children and young people and their parents/carers who have been accepted for an autism and/or ADHD assessment, as well as post-diagnostic support for those given a diagnosis from the commissioned NHS pathway provided by NSFT and WSFT in Suffolk.
What Happens Next?
We are now in the process of ensuring a smooth handover between the current services and the newly awarded services. We appreciate this is a time of change and will do all we can to ensure continuity. Individuals currently being supported or on a waiting list will be contacted during this transition to ensure there are no gaps in support.
What Support Will Be Available?
The new services will offer support around:
- Understanding neurodivergence
- Managing emotions
- Communication and social interaction
- Sensory
- Toileting
- Sleep
- Nutrition/diet
- Mental health
- Managing transitions
This will support will be delivered on a needs-led basis and could include one-to-one support, facilitated peer support groups, lived experience mentoring, webinars, coffee mornings/drop-ins.
