You can help us make the Suffolk Local Offer more useful and accessible by taking part in our feedback survey.
The Statutory SEND Services team supports children with additional needs, their families and educational settings.
The name has been changed to more accurately describe this service provided by Suffolk County Council.
It will make sure everyone fully understands what the service is trying to achieve and to highlight Suffolk County Council’s ambition to always work within statutory guidelines and timeframes.
These guidelines are outlined in both the SEND code of practice and the Children and Families act 2014.
Furthermore, this change will avoid confusion with another council service of a similar name.
Statutory SEND Services remains a highly valued part of the wider inclusion and SEND Children and Young People Service and continue delivering against the county’s priorities.
The function of the service – including all points of contact - will stay unchanged.
